Warner Dispatches Canary Captain – Right Handed
In the lead up to the recent Ford Ranger Cup game held at North Dalton Park Dapto bowlers were invited to bowl to the NSW Speed Blitz Blues
As a reward for their excellent season with the ball CI President Gordon Treadwell invited Kyle Connor, Tommi Bozinovski, Greg Wray and Dale Scifleet along to “soften up” the blues batting line up.
Unfortunately young speedster Scott Sharmen was unable to attend due to a back injury. Tommi believes the young quick suffered from nerves at the prospect of bowling to Aussie opener Katich thinking a back complaint was his safest option.
Canary captain Connor was dispatched out of the ground by 20/20 specialist Warner batting right handed. Connor was quick to pipe up “yeah but I had him stumped twice batting left handed”
Fiery red head Scifleet rattled the stumps of Warner and as the stump was cart wheeling backwards it was reported the cranky red head was standing half way down the wicket, hands on hips giving Warner a mouth full “I can’t believe these guys rate you”
Canaries Coach Moz queries left armer Bozinovski “how’d you go mate take a few” yeah mate “a few poles”. Moz “slower ball mate” yeah mate of course replied Bozinovski!!
Even the veteran Harvey or Wray depending on which era you played troubled the Blue’s batting line up. It was reported as Harves was walking to the showers after training he was over heard mumbling the words I’ve got Mac Gill covered, I should’ve been playing 1st class cricket!
In all seriousness awesome effort guys hope you gained heaps from the experience

First up I would like to congratulate representative players Aaron Hickson, Kyle Connor, Michael Stephenson, Tom Bozinovski, Dale Schifleet for there selection in the Illawarra Seniors, Scott Sharman for being selected in the Illawarra 21’s & 19’s, Jake Gomboso & Will Lucas for being selected in the Illawarra 17’s.

1st / 2nd / 3rd Grade
Tue: 5.30 – 6.30pm fielding practice
Thur: 5.00 – 6.30pm net practice
4th / 5th grade
Tue: 5.30 – 7pm net practice
Thur: 5.00 – 6.30pm fielding practice
5th grade (Sumner & Soccer)
Wed: 5.30 – 7pm
There is extra batting practice on the ball machine from 6pm Fridays. Please let me know if you require this extra practice.
